On Tuesday, January 30, 2018, Mrs. Wasylyk invited two speakers, Mr. David Wachs and Mr. Stephen Black of the New York based organization, 3GNY: Descendants of Holocaust Survivors, to speak to approximately 180 of US History II and Holocaust & Genocide Studies students at Randolph High School.
3GNY’s mission is to educate students and communities alike about the dangers of intolerance, and to make sure that the stories of survivors continue to live on. If you would like to learn more about this organization, please visit: www.3GNY.org.
By sharing the harrowing experiences of their grandparents, Mr. Wachs and Mr. Black recounted the evils of the Holocaust, and reminded us about the difference people can make through both simple and heroic acts of kindness.
