On December 7th, 11th graders from RHS visited 4th grade classrooms at Ironia to share storybooks they had written. Earlier this year, our juniors read The Canterbury Tales and created their own stories modeled after some of the characters and themes. After listening to each story, our 4th graders asked questions to learn more about how they could improve their own writing. Through discussing the stories, students were able to see the connections between what they are learning in elementary school and how it will help them later in life. This amazing experience was made possible by the outstanding staff members at both schools: Mrs. Brodeen, Mr. Elberty, Mrs. Kays, Mrs. Coppola, Mrs. Wasylyk, Ms. Rubin, Mr. Hand, Ms. Bourke, Ms. Feliciano, and Ms. Grunau.
